One Question

Dear Editor:
I have a letter
from the Sunday, March 7 Suburban Trends
from Jonathan Dunleavy and I just can’t get one question out of my
mind. WHY
would Mr. Peter Gonzales go through the time and effort to file a
protest
petition with the borough clerk regarding the Spring Brook Acres issue,
only to
seek out Jonathan Dunleavy, have a conversation with him in the middle
of the
planning board meeting the same night, and inform him that he “should
not be concerned
about the impact of the development of Spring Brook Acres on the
classification
of the Morse Lakes Dam…because the development will have no impact on
the dam.”
Was this comment
from Mr. Gonzales, which comes 18 months
after Councilman Dunleavy originally recused himself and only hours
after he
filed the protest petition, the trigger that made Councilman Dunleavy
decide to
unrecuse himself. Am I to believe that Mr. Gonzales was unaware of the
fact
that Councilman Dunleavy’s vote would provide the two-thirds necessary
to
override the protest? Something seems to be terribly amiss here.
Councilman
Dunleavy, could it be your honesty?
