Library Construction Update as of 4-20-99
The foundation has been completed (finally), and the forms have been removed. The steel framework has begun this week. Still estimating a 1999 completion!

QUARRY CITED FOR VIOLATIONS
VIOLATIONS AT QUARRY IN RINGWOOD
On August 27, 1998, CLEAN brought to the attention of Ringwood officials indication of a number of violations at Saddle Mountain, L.P.’s quarry (trading as Van Orden Sand & Gravel) in Ringwood. The Borough has taken action. Then on September 10th, CLEAN informed Borough officials of apparent additional violations.

FLYING ROCKS
Rocks
On the afternoon of December 10th, 1998, a blast from the Saddle Mountain, L.P. quarry sent dangerously large rocks flying from the site onto adjoining properties causing damage to homes and automobiles. Fortunately, no one was killed by these boulder missiles. One worker from a road crew was injured on West Brook Road.
